Leonard, Mell Dekel- Age 79, went home to be with his Lord on January 10, 2005. He was born on October 5, 1925 to Mell Claude Leonard and Agnes McKenna Leonard in Blountstown, FL and was Baptist. He was a proud member of the United States Marine Corp. during WWII and served on Iwo Jima. He lived in Washington, DC until 1953 at which time he moved back to Orlando, FL with his family and entered the employment business. He was known as "Florida's Mr. Employment" and helped thousands of people obtain jobs. He loved politics and jet skiing and was a past member of the Orlando Jaycees. Mell was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Hunt Leonard, and is survived by his son, Mell Blaine Leonard, Orlando, daughter, Debra and son-in-law Steve Hoffman, Casselberry, daughter, Lisa Leonard, Orlando and two grandsons, John and Mark Hoffman, Casselberry. His step-children Harold Maxewll and Jackie Hunt and family, Morris and Jan Hunt and family, Brenda and Mike Propps and their son, Jeffrey, also survive him, all of Orlando, and Wanda and Jim Queen and family of Greenville, SC. A memorial service will be held at College Park Baptist Church, 1914 Edgewater Drive, Orlando, on Tuesday, January 18, 2004, at 2:00 PM.
