Memore A. Repetti

Memore "Mike" A. Repetti of Orlando, FL, formerly of South Boston, Dorchester and West Roxbury died on May 1, 2010. A loving grandparent, Mike was very proud of his grandchildren, Jane, Tom and Caroline Repetti of Dover. He also enjoyed skiing and hiking in the mountains of Waterville Valley, New Hampshire. An All-City quarterback at South Boston High School, Mike was commissioned an officer in the United States Army in 1942 after graduating first in his class from Officers Candidate School. He served in the Pacific during WW II, including the Philippines. After the war, he met his wife, Cleo, while stationed at the Army's Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama, where he worked in the U.S. missile program. He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service and retired at the rank of Major from the United States Army Reserve in 1969. Mike became a certified public accountant in 1966 after graduating from Northeastern University, which he attended at night while employed full-time during the day. He worked for the Internal Revenue Service and Small Business Administration and also taught accounting at Northeastern. In addition to his grandchildren, Mike is survived by his wife, Cleo of Orlando, his daughter and son-in-law, Judith and Timothy Nichols of Rhode Island, and his son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Sue Repetti of Dover.
