1947-2024
On June 8, 2024, Michael Bruce Hofmann (Mike), passed away at the age of 77 with his daughter by his side. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Mike lived a life full of love. Born on May 19, 1947, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to James and Jane Hofmann, he was instilled with a sense of duty that led him to join the Army during the Vietnam War, where he served his country with honor.
In the early 1970s, Mike relocated to the Orlando area where he met and fell in love with Helen. Their marriage in 1979 marked the beginning of a lifelong partnership both in love and business. Together, they founded The Car Spa, a successful automotive repair shop where they served their community for over 30 years. Mike's knack for fixing things and his love for motorcycles were defining features of his life. He enjoyed riding his Honda Goldwing with Helen, relishing the freedom of the open road and the joy of shared adventures.
Beyond his professional life, Mike enjoyed watching old westerns and spent cherished hours working in his garage. His skill and knowledge were unmatched, earning him a reputation as someone who could tackle any mechanical challenge.
Mike and Helen shared a unique interest in collecting turtle figurines and artwork, which they proudly displayed both at home and in their shop. This collection was a testament to their shared passions and the life they built together.
He is survived by his daughter Missy Cefalo, stepdaughter Sandy Stock, stepson Robert Stock, and granddaughter Sophia Cefalo. Mike was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and adventure.
Mike Hofmann's legacy is one of love, resilience, and unwavering commitment to his family. His memory will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
