Michael John Murphy

Michael John Murphy, age 66, was born in Baltimore, Maryland on September 25, 1956. He unexpectedly passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023 in Orlando, FL.

He was a kind, and hardworking man. Mike was a master carpenter for 50 years, and was greatly respected by those he worked for, as well as those he worked with.

Mike was a loving father, son, brother, friend, but his favorite title was Pop Pop to his granddaughter, Justice. She brought Mike tremendous joy in the last years of his life.

Preceded in death by his parents, Mary Patricia (MacDonald) and Richard John Murphy; and additionally by a brother, Christopher Murphy; and a sister, Mary Patricia Murphy McIlvane.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his son, Christopher Murphy; his daughter, Katie Murphy; his granddaughter, Justice; sisters, Bridget Hutchinson, Colleen Heincelman, and Erin Murphy.

A Celebration of his Life will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home – East Orlando Chapel, 895 S. Goldenrod Rd, Orlando with Chaplain Clint Kandle officiating.

In lieu of flowers, we feel Murph would want his Justice to have a college savings account set up for her. Donations in kind can be made via to Mike "Murph" Murphy's Granddaughter's College Fund
