Michael Nieves, age 15 of Orlando passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2006. Born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, he moved to Orlando in 1994. Michael was Sophmore at University High School in Orlando. He played baseball in the Union Park Little League and was an avid sports fan.
He is survived by his parents, Ismael Nieves and Carmen Salicrup; sisters, Barbara, Amanda and Veronica Nieves all of Orlando; maternal grandfather, Fernando Salicrup of Puerto Rico and Paternal grandmother, Adelina Marques of Puerto Rico. Several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 23, 2006 at Catedral De Fe, 1840 N. Goldenrod Road Orlando. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Church.
