Michael Washington Simpson, born in Manchester, Jamaica on November 29, 1955, was the cherished twelfth child of Clifton and Charlotte Simpson. Raised in a lively household, Michael was adored by his siblings who protected him throughout his childhood. He attended Bellfield All Age School before training as an auto mechanic in Kingston. Michael's drive for a better life led him to New Jersey in 1983, where he further pursued his career.
In Jamaica, Michael fathered two daughters, Allecia and Detra (Shena). After moving to New Jersey, he married Karen Morrison, gaining a step-daughter, Melissa and they had two more children, Michael Anthony and Krystyna. Following Karen's passing, Michael balanced full-time work with caring for his young children, eventually becoming a self-employed handyman and remodeling specialist to spend more time at home.
Michael remarried in 2005 to Pamela Walker and they moved to Florida where he continued his construction business. A devout Christian, Michael joined the Christian Life Center Church and remained active until his health declined following a fall in 2019. Michael passed away on March 24, 2024.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Pamela; children, Allecia, Detra, Melissa, Michael Anthony and Krystyna; siblings, Robertha, Kernes, Rose, Vinette, Nuseve and Lloyd and his grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.
