Michelle Beckman

September 4, 1966 — August 10, 2016

Michelle Lyn Beckman, 49, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 in Orlando, FL. Michelle was the daughter of the late Raymond P. and Ann T. Bennick-Beckman. She was born and raised in Milwaukee and New Berlin, WI and was a true Packers and Badgers fan. She was the second of four children. Her siblings and best friends are Danelle Sowatzke, Mitch Beckman and Deniese Cornelison. She also adored her niece Hannah and her nephews Zach, Owen, Truman and Nick Sowatzke and her nephews Max, Graham and Pierce Beckman. Aunt Shelby was known for her raw cookie dough and her fun and crazy personality.

Michelle earned a Bachelor's diploma from Marquette University and taught high school English for six years. She was then called into full time youth ministry with Campus Crusade for Christ where she served for about 21 years. Her impact in the lives of high school students will continue for generations to come. Michelle was known as someone who loved well. She asked deep questions, listened to people's hearts and always celebrated them. She is not only known by people all over the globe, but she is loved by more people than one could imagine. Michelle sought after God with all of her heart, soul and strength and she longed to be in the presence of her best friend, Jesus. Although we grieve here on earth, we rejoice that she is free from cancer, free from pain and will live in complete freedom for all of eternity!

A Celebration of Michelle's Life will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 2:00 eastern standard time.

· Location: Converge in Orlando, Florida

· Address: 11002 Lake Hart Drive Orlando, Florida 32832

One of Michelle's favorite things at every conference was to have a prayer experience, so we will have on at the service. The doors will open at 1:15 for you to come and have some time to enjoy Jesus. The service will start at 2:00. Light refreshments will be served after the celebration and you will have more time to visit the prayer experience as well.

Some have asked about dress. Michelle would want you to feel comfortable in jeans or all dressed up. No need to wear black. She would love to have bright colors and have Mary Poppins fly in for a visit!

If you cannot come to Orlando, you can live stream it. You can cut and paste the link below into a browser. If you are able to, please get together with others to watch it. This will save money since we pay for each person logging on.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up. This fund will go toward scholarships for Orlando students to attend conferences, retreats and missions so that students would continue to have an opportunity to hear the Gospel and Jesus would continue to change teenager's lives.

If you would like to send flowers, please have them delivered to Converge on Friday before 4pm or Saturday at noon. We will not be able to access the building until noon on Saturday. The address is the same as above: Converge, 11002 Lake Hart Drive Orlando, Florida 32832
