Migdalia "Micki" Rivera, age 79, of Longwood, Fl Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and faithful servant went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 24th, 2021.
Migdalia was born on September 25, 1941 in Guayama, PR; was greeted in heaven by her beloved parents Joaquin and Petra (Vincente) Vega and beloved brother Carlos Vega.
On April 12, 1969, she married her husband, soulmate and lifelong companion, Rafael Rivera. They have shared 52 beautiful years together.
On this earth, Migdalia's Christian faith was an essential part of her life. She was a woman of unwavering faith in God; always been passionate about Jesus, and spent a great deal of her life as a prayer warrior for Christ. She volunteered in many global ministries, mission trips, and spent 12 years as a prison minister. Migdalia was happiest when surrounded by her family.
Migdalia is survived by her husband of 52 years, Rafael Rivera of Longwood; her two daughters, Lilliane DeBarros of San Antonio, TX, and Rosanna Rivera of Longwood; her son, Rafael A. Rivera of St. Cloud, FL; five grandchildren, Alexis Halperin, Mia Halperin, Aaron Halperin, Roman DeBarros, and Xavier DeBarros; a brother, Edwin Vega; and a sister, Yiyan Vega.
All are welcome to the viewing and service at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 12:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - South Seminole Chapel, 335 E. State Road 434, Longwood, Florida 32750.
Visitation with the family will precede the service on Saturday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the funeral home.
Burial will immediately follow in Longwood Memorial Gardens, Longwood, FL.
