Miguel Angel Sierra Arce Jr.

October 27, 1949 — July 22, 2020

Miguel Angel Sierra Arce, came into this world on October 27, 1949 and left us on July 22, 2020. He was a loving husband and a devoted father and grandfather.

He was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 1949. At the age of 16 he began to study at the Colegio de Agrimensura y Artes Mecanicas of Mayaguez (CAAM), A.k.a. RUM or UPR Mayaguez.

He became a Mechanical Engineer and began his career as an Engineer for Puerto Rico's Public Building Department. After that he began his Federal career of 25 years with the United States Navy at the Naval Station Roosevelt Roads, Ceiba, Puerto Rico. With the closing of the base in 2003, he transitioned to a 4 year career with the Puerto Rico Transportation Authority working with the development of the Tren Urbano. After moving to Orlando in 2007 he began his almost 10 year career with the Orange County Facilities. He finally retired in June, 2016.

Miguel is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years Nydia, his sons Miguel, Josue and Francis. His three Daughters-in-law and his nine (9) grandkids.

Miguel had a passion for music. He enjoyed playing his cuatro, mandoline, guitar and his accordion.

Most of all his biggest passion was spending time with his family, specially his grandchildren.

Miguel was the best dad anyone could have and all his lesson and teachings will be remembered by his sons and passed down to future generations. We were blessed to be able to call him Papi (dad).

Arrangements are by Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (Winter Park Chapel).
