Mildred C. Brown

Mildred C. Brown, 97, born Oct. 1, 1911 and died at home peacefully on May 3, 2009. She had many names- Millie, Mickey, Mildred, Mom, Grandma and GG. Her large family and group of friends loved her dearly. She continued to reach out to others up to the end. Her great accomplishments were not a big career or notoriety but rather her legacy will live on in the lives she touched with love and kindness.
She was married in 1944 to James T. Brown who predeceased her. She leaves behind her 6 children, Sandra Houser of Asheville, NC, Gloria Rosenkoetter of Atlanta, GA, James E. Brown of Longwood, FL, Mary Jo Higgins, Marita Brown and Michele Brown all of Orlando, FL; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Sat. May 16th in the chapel of Newcomer Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Rd. Orlando. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Comforter, 480 W. Central Parkway, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714.
