Mildred was born on November 22nd in 1938 to the late Wilber & Ozzie Tademy in Colfax, Louisiana. She was the eldest of nine siblings and played the role of "second mom." She was a mother, an aunt, a cousin, a grandmother, a great-grandmother and a cherished friend.
Mildred enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and showing her love through her cooking. She also enjoyed gardening, teaching Sunday school, playing cards, shopping with her sisters and friends, and loving on her great-grandkids. Mildred will forever be cherished and remembered by her family, sons: Gregory Tademy Sr. & Darwin Tademy Sr.; siblings: Audrey Monette (Raymond-deceased), Shirlene Washigton, the late Earnestine Gordon, Mary Holder, Jean Watson (Alvin), Dollie Gipson, Judy Martin, and Richie Turner (Bridgette); fourteen grand-children; twenty-five great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews, and a multitude of other family and friends.
Even though she was a sister, aunt, cousin, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister-in-law, she was all of Our Mother. Known to many as Mother Ellis, yes, you will be missed but your courage, your love, your strength and your devotion to God will live on in our lives forever.
