Mildred F. Hodge, beloved wife and mother for 57 years, passed away quietly on January 19, 2017 due to complications of a severe respiratory condition.
She was born in Olive Hill, Kentucky. On January 16, 1938, the second of fourteen children. She was married to James L. Hodge on February 21,1959 and lived in Toledo, Ohio until 1989 when she moved to Casselberry, Florida. Phoebe was employed at Bob Evans Farms for 15 years.
She is survived by her husband, James L. Hodge, 80; sons, James E., 57, and his wife Mary L. and Thomas M Hodge, 54; grandchildren, Jason T. Hodge, 36, and Heather L. Wistrick, 33, and her husband, Greg, of Rossford Ohio; great grandchildren, Brieanan, 13, and Mackenzie, 11, also of Rossford Ohio; brothers, Cecil Binion Jr., 77, Jeff Binion, 57, Chris Binion, 54, all of Bowling Green, Ohio; sister, Hattie Grubb of Rudolph, Ohio; and many, many nieces and nephews and their children. She loved her family very much.
She enjoyed many things in her life including gardening, quilting, and riding a motorcycle behind her husband for many miles, including trips through the Smoky Mountains and Virginia, to name a few.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 23, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, South Seminole Chapel, in Longwood, Florida from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. There will also be a visitation at the Newcomer Funeral Home in Toledo, Ohio, Southwest Toledo Chapel, on Friday, January 27, 2017 from 2:00 - 8:00 PM and the Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place at Lake Township Cemetery in Millbury, Ohio.
