Monica S. Konin- Age 86 of Orlando, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 10, 2013. She was born in Hampton, Middlesex, England on April 6, 1926 to Arthur James "Nick" Young and Winifred Ethel Young (nee Moss).
She was a member of the Maitland Newcomers Club, an ace bowler, a quick wit, and always up for a party. She was a delight to her friends and was truly a homemaker.
She is survived by her son, Roger "Dutch" Uithoven, daughter-in-law, Mary Louise Uithoven, granddaughter, Elizabeth Lorraine Uithoven, grandson, Jan Derek Uithoven, grandson, Christopher Bernard Uithoven; numerous loving nieces and nephews in England, and stepchildren David "Oley" Konin, Rae Konin Morue, and Debbie Konin. Her sons Guy Keith Uithoven and Paul Kevin Uithoven, and her husband, Colonel David H. Konin predeceased her.
Friends and Family are invited to celebrate a life well lived. Visitation will be at Noon Tuesday January 15th, with a memorial service at 1 PM.
Services will be held at Ascension Lutheran Church, 351 Ascension Drive Casselberry, FL 32707. A reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Hospice of the Comforter or Second Harvest Food Bank.
