Morice Victor Georgi

Morice Victor Georgi, age 82, of Longwood, Florida passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at his home in Longwood.
Morice was born on November 12, 1937 in Damascus, Syria, son of the late Victor and Janette (Boublas) Georgi. Second to the youngest of five brothers, he relocated his family in 1974 from Damascus to Orlando, Florida to give his family a better life. Although he spoke very little English, he studied very hard and obtained his general lines insurance license. In 1989, Morice opened up his own insurance agency, M.G. Insurance Agency. His children still carry on his legacy today. A devoted husband, loving father, caring grandfather, and loyal friend, Morice's selflessness and kind nature will be greatly missed.
Morice is survived by his loving wife, Siham Y. Georgi; his two sons, Samer M. Georgi, and Victor M. Georgi; his two daughters, Rhanda M. Haddad-McLaughlin, and Roula M. Georgi; five grandchildren; his brother, Fouad Georgi; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 19, 2020 at 12:00 noon at Newcomer Funeral Home - South Seminole Chapel, 335 E. State Rd 434, Longwood with Fr. John Hamatie officiating.
Visitation with the family will precede the service from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Longwood Memorial Gardens, Longwood, FL, on Monday, October 19 at 2:00 pm.
The family will also receive friends in celebration of Morice at Black Angus Steakhouse and Lounge, 12399 County Road 535, Orlando, FL 32836 at 4 pm.
