Myrlene Goodson Sagen

October 5, 1937 — October 30, 2016

Myrlene Goodson Sagen "Bo" came into this world with her twin sister, Geraldine (Mickey) Bess, on October 5, 1937 in the small town of Valliant, Oklahoma. The twins were the 5th and 6th child of Robert and Madeline Goodson. She suddenly left this world and became an Angel on October 30, 2016.

After graduating high school, she joined the Army where she met the love of her life, Richard Sagen. She raised three daughters, Sonja S. McBride, Gayle Sagen Clauson and Tamarah S. White; she spoiled five grandchildren, Kristen N. Puza, Nicholas S. Stenkamp, Joshua A. Stenkamp, Alexander Q. Clauson and Logan R. Clauson; she also adored her two great-granddaughters, Meela B. Puza and Leslie G. Stenkamp. After several relocations, the family settled in Central Florida in the mid-1970 and this became home.

She was a women of many talents; hair stylists, administrator, coach, mentor, mission work. The list is long. She was one to voice her opinion (you always know where you stood with her), fretted over the small issues and loved her family with all of her heart. She was a born athlete. As a child, she never walked anywhere, she ran. She played softball, volleyball and basketball well in to her senior years. Her children grew up on a softball field. As her children grew, she coached them and played with and/or against them in every sport. She went on to win numerous Gold Medals in the Senior Olympics for Basketball. As a big sport fan, nothing would stop her from watching for her favorite team play, and we mean nothing.

A Celebration of Myrlene's Life will be held at 2PM on November 20, 2016 at the Sanctuary of God Church, 1421 East Erlo Bronson Highway, St. Cloud, Florida 34771 with a reception to follow.

In honor of her service to our country, Military Honors will be rendered at 1PM on Monday, November 21, 2016 at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Street, Bushnell, FL 33513.
