Nancy Elaine Beltran
October 10, 1951 — April 22, 2023
With great sorrow and bittersweet gratitude we announce the passing of our kind and unimaginably generous daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Nancy Elaine Beltran on Saturday, April 22, 2023 after a long battle with COPD.
She was born on October 10, 1951 to Charles and Dorothy Martin in Glens Falls, NY. The entire Martin clan moved to Florida a few years later and built multiple houses on Spartan Drive. Nancy cherished having her grandparents right down the street and would frequently stop in for a slice of her grandmother's famous apple pie. She and her brother Paul were always finding new ways to entertain themselves on that beloved street (and challenging their parents along the way)!
After high school she married briefly and had her daughter Stacey in 1971. She worked for Martin Marietta (now Lockheed Martin) and hustled daily as a single mom, all with joy and a sense of humor. Nancy landed at Hospital Benefits, Inc. in May of 1982 working there until retirement. There she forged deep friendships that remain to this day. She met the great love of her life, Alvaro Beltran, in 1978 and they were married in March of 1983. They found fun in whatever they did and laughed together daily.
Nancy loved her family and friends fiercely and was extremely loyal to those she cared for – maintaining some friendships for over 60 years. She was thankful for gaining Michael Sheehan as a son-in-law in 1993 and enjoyed the family he and Stacey created together. She adored her grandchildren, Nicholas and Emma and seized every opportunity to spend time with them.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles F. and Dorothy Martin.
She is survived by her husband, Alvaro G. Beltran, daughter, Stacey L. Sheehan, grandchildren, Nicholas Sheehan and Emma Sheehan, and brother, Paul Martin.
Visitation is Friday, April 28, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with funeral service starting at 2:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (Winter Park Chapel), 3806 Howell Branch Rd, Winter Park, Florida 32792. O.J. Aldrich will be presiding.
