Nancy Harris Wattwood

Nancy Wattwood passed away on Tuesday, May 1, just four weeks shy of her 97th birthday. She is survived by her four children: Shirley Perdue of Oviedo, FL, Sandra Austin and her husband Robert of Huntsville, AL, Phillip Jr. (Doug) and his wife Patricia of Longwood, FL, and James (Tony) and his wife Katherine of New Smyrna Beach, FL. She has three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Nancy was born in Springfield, TN, on May 28, 1921, to Elizabeth Couts Harris and Wiley B. Harris. After graduating from Springfield High School, she married Phillip Wattwood and resided in Portland, TN, where she raised her four children. Following the family's move to New Smyrna Beach, FL, in 1968, she attended nursing school, working in the medical field for 11 years prior to retirement.

After several years of retirement in Winchester, TN, and her husband's death, she moved to Huntsville, AL. In 2011, she moved to Orlando, FL, where she resided until her death.
