Nelly Vargas died on Friday, April 16, 2021 in her home in Orlando surrounded by her loved ones.
Nelly was born to Nicasio Rodriguez Rivas and Felicita Torres Rivera in Ponce, Puerto Rico. She graduated from Nursing School in Puerto Rico. Nelly moved her family to Boston Massachusetts where she practiced nursing for over 50 years. In her retirement years, she was immersed in the Christian community, giving of her time and talents to her church.
She is predeceased by her sisters Ruth Camacho Torres, Lillian Camacho Torres and survived by her sister Juliana Yetter.
She is survived by her six children, Janet E. Gutierrez, Alberto Gaston, Carmen M. Gaston, Aixa V. Seabrook, Nahir V. Jiminian, and Tania V. Jiminian and their spouses/significant others. Nelly will be deeply missed and remembered by her 11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Funeral Services to be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 12 Noon, followed by a small service at 1:00pm. Immediately following the service, she will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Orlando.
