Nickolas Richard Evenson

May 14, 1997 — October 8, 2020

Nickolas Richard Evenson, 23, of Lake Mary, passed away on October 8, 2020 surrounded by his ever-present and loving Mother, Lori, his brother, Alec, his immediate family and closest group of friends. Nickolas was born May 14, 1997 in Altamonte Springs. He was a 2016 graduate of Lake Mary High School and was attending Seminole State College while also working at Publix. Nickolas loved the beach, music and movies, and his beloved yellow lab, Luke – and of course, his ever-present Gucci sunglasses and CK loafers! He had a knack for making people laugh with his quick wit and his clever "Nick" names for virtually everything – most notably his band of forever friends, known as his "Day One's" – the "geese". Nick's legacy will live on through his gift of organ donation, which was close to his heart as his dad was an organ recipient. We are so proud that Nick's gift of organ donation has given a second chance at life for many.

Nickolas is survived by his mother, Lori Evenson, his brother Alec Evenson; Grandparents Chuck and Rosemary Slater; Grandfather Richard Evenson and Aunt Kris Evenson; his Aunt Lisa Bruns, Uncle Robert Bruns and cousin Hannah Bruns; Aunt Shannon Dowell, Uncle Robert Dowell and cousins Abbi and David Dowell; his best friend Dekota Shadley, his "Day One's", and all of his extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, October 15 at 4:00 pm at Sanlando United Methodist Church, 1882 Carlton Street, Longwood, FL 32750. Due to COVID 19 capacity restrictions, please note masks will be required, and the service will also be live streamed here or here.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Nickolas' name to OurLegacy, the local group that promotes sharing life though organ donation, 601 S. Lake Destiny Road, Suite 400, Maitland, FL 32751.
