Nicolas Vazquez Flores

Nicolas Vazquez Flores, known to his loved ones as Nick, was born in San Lorenzo, PR and passed away in Orlando, FL on June 25, 2023, at the age of 98.

Nick was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his daughters Carmen, Ana, and Magdalena ("Maggie"), as well as his sons Jose, Reinaldo, Enrique ("Henry"), Nicholas Jr., and Wilfredo ("Freddie"). He was preceded in death by his spouse Rufina, affectionately known as Tónita, and his son Geraldo ("Jerry").

Nick cherished his family and was a pillar of strength for them. As a devout Catholic, he has served in the church in many roles throughout all of his life. He will be remembered for his love, guidance, and unwavering support; his legacy will live on through the memories shared by those who knew and loved him.

Orlando, Florida Services
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 3 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, East Orlando Chapel 895 S. Goldenrod Road in Orlando. A Wake service will be held at 4:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.

Chicago, Illinois Services
A visitation for Nicholas will be held Thursday, July 6, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home, 6901 West Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL 60634. A Mass of Christian burial will occur Friday, July 7, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Grace Church, 2455 N. Hamlin Avenue, Chicago, IL 60647. Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, IL.

Family and friends will gather to pay their respects and bid farewell to this remarkable individual who touched the lives of many.
