Nilda Balaoing

Nilda Pelito Balaoing, 77, departed this life and joined her Heavenly Father on Friday, August 12, 2016 surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on June 15, 1939 in the Philippines to the late Gervasio and Cerilia Pelito. Nilda was one of seven children. She married the love of her life, Abdon and together they raised five children. Her role as the matriarch of the family was pivotal in her husband's military career. Later, she became fondly known by many as Nay (Mom). She will be remembered as a devout catholic who was delighted to be parishioner of the St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church in Orlando.

She leaves many wonderful memories to be cherished by her husband of 58 years, Abdon; children, Merlita Balaoing, Renato Balaoing(Mary), Rodelio Balaoing (Renee), Maria Dolan (Dennis) and Leah Morris; 7 grandchildren and 1 adoring great grandchild.

She loved dancing, travelling, exercising, and cooking. She always wanted to feed you even if you were not hungry. It was her way of showing her love and generosity.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 6:00 pm on Friday, August 26, 2016 at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, 4301 Chickasaw Trail, Orlando, FL 32822.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Nilda to the American Red Cross.
