Nita Eillean King, resident of Palm Bay, Florida was called to be with the Lord on May 28, 2021 in Orlando, Florida.
Nita King (Lovell) was born in Christ Church, Barbados to Alberta Lovell on March 8, 1928. She immigrated to the United States of America and graduated from Fordham University Nursing School in Bronx New York.
Nita married Erskine King in 1959 in New York. Three children were born to that union.
Nita worked as a Registered Nurse in the emergency room at Jacobi Hospital in the Bronx, New York for 33 years. She retired in 1993 and relocated to Palm Bay, Florida where she lived until her death.
Nita enjoyed shopping, cooking, cleaning, and going out to restaurants. She also liked to collect coupons to save money. Nita enjoyed watching the news and solving cross word puzzles. She never stopped staying abreast of new developments and techniques in the medical field. Most importantly, Nita loved her family.
Nita is survived by her daughter Joyce, sons Michael and Austin, granddaughter Keyona Baines, grandson Kaylee, great granddaughters Alivia and Kimberly, great grandson Michael and their father, Matthew.
The family of Nita King would like to extend their sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses at Holmes Regional Medical Center, Melbourne, Florida and Lutheran Towers Hospice Care, Orlando, Florida.
The viewing will be on June 4, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 895 South Goldenrod Rd, Orlando, Florida, 32822. The funeral service will commence at 4:00 pm. with Rev. Bowles Taitt as the officiating minister.
