Norma Iris Morales, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023 after a long battle with breast cancer. Her final moments were spent peacefully in her home in Orlando, Fl surrounded by her family.
Norma was born February 1, 1950 to Floripa Ruiz and Carmelo Candelaria in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. After her father's passing her family moved to Miami, Fl and later settled in New York City, NY. On July 2, 1966 she married Lewis Morales at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in New York. They had three children, Raymond Morales, Milagros Morales, and Vanessa Morales McCann.
She was known for her kind, gentle spirit. She was the epitome of grace and love, and poured her heart and soul into her family. She was a Christian who trusted and accepted God's will. She was a caretaker for many children through the course of her life. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband Lewis Morales; her children Raymond and Jackie Morales, Christopher and Vanessa McCann; her grandchildren Jordan and Christina Morales, Brandon and Eliana Febo, Jacob and Aria McCann; her great grandchildren Jaylene Arriaga and Nicholas, Sophia, Olivia, and Marc Hackebeil, and her sister Carmen Ambert. She now joins her beloved daughter Millie in heaven.
A private ceremony will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home on Friday November 3, 2023 from 4-8pm. The family is requesting guests wear light color or floral attire to the wake.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary Magdalene Church on Saturday November 4, at 1pm. The burial will be at Chapel Hill Cemetery immediately following.
