Dickson, Norman R. passed away March 15th, 2023, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice home in SC. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Patricia F. Moore Dickson. Norman was born June 9th, 1933 in Chicago, Il. He was the son of the late Inga Shaad and William Dickson. He was the youngest of 9 brothers and sisters all whom have preceded him in death.
He joined the Air Force where he served for 4 years. Upon his return to Chicago, he was employed with Illinois Bell and Southern Bell for 28 years. He earned an associate degree in engineering. He moved to Florida in 1972 where he spent the rest of his life with his family. He retired in 1991 living most of the time in Brooksville, Florida. He enjoyed traveling, flying flight simulators, computer activities, reading and classic films on TCM. He was most generous with his time visiting his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his three daughters, Nancy (Dickson) Morgan and husband Marc, Carrie (Dickson) Shriver, Elizabeth (Dickson) Gonzalez and husband, Juan; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and extended family.
Funeral services will be conducted by Newcomer Cremations, Funeral & Receptions in Winter Park, Fl.
The Funeral Ceremony will begin at 4:00 pm with Live Streaming on Monday, April 3, 2023. A visitation will be held following the chapel service through 7:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Winter Park Chapel, 3806 Howell Branch Rd, Winter Park, Florida 32792.
