Norman Lendel Bryant, age 79, sadly passed away at Florida Hospital Altamonte in Altamonte Springs, FL on April 4, 2016 at 3:59 a.m.
He was born on January 16, 1937 in Dayton, KY to parents, Marcella Gardner Bryant and Wayne Bryant. He was preceded in death by his sister, Nola Bryant Spaulding and both parents.
Norman is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Audrey Bryant, his daughters, Vicki Bryant and Karen Bryant Sasic; son, David Bryant; son-in-law, Petar Sasic; daughter-in-law, Amanda McLemore Bryant; grandchildren, Alicia Brown, Ashlie Brown Colon, Claudia Sasic, Michael Brown, Tanja Sasic, Taylor Bryant, Jessica Sasic, Natalie Hogwood, Cheyenne Bryant, Justin Bryant; great granddaughter, Austynn Colon.
Norman was a well-respected civil engineer, designing and overseeing numerous highway projects in Florida during his 50+ year career. He enjoyed camping, fishing, boating and most of all traveling with his wife, Audrey.
He had a strong love for family and so very proud of his children and grandchildren. His favorite holiday was Thanksgiving in which all of the family would come together. As he sat at the head of a very long table, he would proudly say every year that "I sure have some good genes".
Special appreciation from the family to all of the doctors, ICU nurses and respiratory therapists that took care of him during his time at Florida Hospital.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 335 E State Road 434, Longwood, FL on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Internment will take place at Longwood Memorial Gardens, Longwood, FL.
