LUCY "ONYX" YOUNGBLOOD, 82, of Altamonte Springs, FL peacefully passed on to her heavenly home Friday, November 27, 2020. She was born in Baker, FL.
Onyx moved to Orlando, FL in the early 1960's and attended North Park Baptist Church, her home church. Many years later, her membership moved to First Baptist Church of Sanlando Springs. She served in the nursery at both churches for over 35 years. The bed babies were her passion. Onyx battled dementia for the last 12 years. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and now a great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ferrell M. Youngblood and her son, Philip Tod Youngblood. She is survived by her daughter, Alisa K. Alexander of Altamonte Springs, her grandsons Brenton Alexander and Lance Alexander (Tamara) both of Altamonte Springs; and her three beautiful great-grandchildren Braeden, Aislyn and Carter Alexander all of Altamonte Springs; She is also survived by three of her seven siblings, Dwight Melton, Jim Melton and John Melton (Barbara) all of Crestview, FL.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 1:00pm at Asbury United Methodist Church in Maitland, FL.
