Orpha V. Anderson

Orpha V. Anderson, our loving mother and grandmother went to be with our Lord and Savior peacefully at home on Friday, December 18, 2009. A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 5:00PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando. She was born in Canton, Ohio, the second daughter of Orrin Matthew and Myrtle Mae Vail. The family moved to Florida in the 1950's where she graduated from Winter Park high School. She retired from Orange County in 1988. She was very active in her church, First Church of Christ Scientist, which she loved dearly. She is survived by sons, Michael S. Harrison, Sr. and wife Karen Cossin of Tallahassee; Herbert S. Harrison IV and wife Elaine Kominowski; daughters, Kathleen Harrison, Cheryl Lynn Link and husband John Link of Winter Park; step-sons, David Anderson and wife Rolande of Lawrenceville, GA; Peter Anderson and Jeff Anderson; grandsons, Christopher R. Harrison, Michael S. Harrison, Jr., Jonathan Anderson and wife Cameron and Joshua Anderson; forming a very large circle of family and close friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Warren A. Anderson who was a loving and devoted father and grandfather.
