Oscar Manuel Merida

Dr. Oscar Manuel Merida (Manolo) passed away at his home on June 26th, 2020 surrounded by his family, at the age of 78.

Oscar is gracefully survived by his wife of 60 years, Rosa S. Merida, his son Alexander Merida; his daughter Arlene Rose Merida and her husband Jason William Campbell; his son Brian Manuel Merida and his wife Vanessa Merida; grandchildren Alexia Merida, Juan Manuel Gonzalez and Brandon Merida.
Oscar is also survived by 3 great children all by his Granddaughter Alexia.

Oscar was born in Santa Clara, Cuba to parents Oscar Manuel Merida and Victoria Tresgallo. Oscar attended the University of Zaragoza-Spain where he studied and earned is medical degree. As a physician, Oscar spend his first 17 years practicing emergency room medicine. Oscar then went on to spend the next 20 years of his career dedicated to his own private practice focused on Family Medicine and Pediatrics.

As a human being, Oscar was a passionate loving husband and father. He enjoyed spending time with family, loved to travel and was an avid reader. He was devoted to helping others and always had a way of making people laugh.

We welcome everyone to gather for a celebration of life, to be held on Sunday July 26th from 11am-1pm at Newcomer Funeral Home located at 895 S. Goldenrod Rd, Orlando Fl 32822.
