Pablo Martinez, age 89, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.
Pablo was born on January 15, 1929 in Havana, Cuba, son of the late Idelfonso and Eugenia (Ramos) Martinez. He was an evangelical pastor who traveled to preach the Gospel. Pablo was a master tile setter who owned his own business for many years before his retirement. His passion was his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rafaela Martinez; two sons, Julio Jimenez and Pablo Martinez, Jr.; his daughters, Lisa Hernandez, Elisabet Tanner, Noemi Cabrera, Daysi Martinez, and Loyda Blanco; nineteen grandchild, Gabriel Hernandez, Daniella Hernandez, Julio Jimenez, Jr., Aiden Tanner, Julian Cabrera, Tyler Tanner, Lizette Martinez, David Rhodes, Gabriel Leon, David Blanco, Alex Blanco, Noel Blanco, Gabriel Blanco, Paul Martinez, Christopher Martinez, Michael Martinez, Kimberly Martinez, Danny Martinez, and Andy Martinez; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jose Martinez.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Daniel Martinez.
Funeral service will be on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at 4:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - East Orlando Chapel, 895 S. Goldenrod Rd, Orlando, FL 32822, with Pastor Angel Bonarrico officiating.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the funeral home.
Graveside services will be on Monday, August 13, 2018 at 11:00 am at Greenwood Cemetery, 1603 Greenwood Street, Orlando, Florida 32801.
