Pamela Jean Chiles Carlisle, a lifelong resident of Orlando, Florida, entered her heavenly home January 28th, 2021 surrounded by her family at the age of 72.
She was born October 18, 1948 at Orange Memorial Hospital in Orlando, Florida to Lofton and Jean Chiles and big sister Dee. She graduated from Boone High School in 1966 and then received a BA in Education from Florida State University in 1970 where she met her lifelong partner, Sam.
She was married to Samuel Dunwoody Carlisle on June 6, 1970 and they lived in Orlando their entire married life. She is survived by her loving husband, Sam and their three children, Carrie Longardner (Husband: Justin), Timothy Carlisle (Wife: Melissa), and Kellie Cordovano (Husband: Jeremiah) as well as her sister, Dee Thomas. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Courtnie Keener (Husband: Matt), Samantha Hurst, Jaxson Longardner, Dean Hurst, Grayson Longardner, Jensen Cordovano and Anders Cordovano. She had an intense love for her entire family which also included a number of nieces, nephews, and sisters and brothers in-law.
To know Pam was to love her. Her love and faith in Jesus Christ drove her to show his love to all in her path. From the time she was a young child she was excellent at loving people. Whether it was friends, family, church members, or total strangers, she made it a point to always remember important details, names, etc. She loved children and showed that love to her own children, grandchildren and the many children she taught in school or in Sunday school. She would drop everything to serve others, whether it was to take a meal, volunteer at church, sit with a sick friend or just simply to regularly call friends to check on them, she made others a priority. Pam will be missed by her loving husband Sam, and her children and grandchildren but she will also be missed by the hundreds of people whose lives were touched by her simply being herself and wanting to love like Jesus.
A Memorial Service will be held to honor the life of Pam on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at 1pm at Christ Church of Orlando, 2200 South Orange Ave., Orlando, FL.
