Patricia Ann Lockaby

Patricia Ann Lockaby, age 66 of St. Cloud, passed away Saturday, April 30. Pat devoted nearly 40 years to teaching English/Language Arts. She started at Oak Ridge High School right after college and spent over 35 years there, where she most recently taught British Literature to seniors and AP Language to juniors. She was the adviser of the Trailblazer, the Oak Ridge yearbook, for over 30 years. Pat always saw the best in her students and pushed them to achieve. She always said that no matter what, her heart would always bleed Oak Ridge green and gold. After retiring for a year, Pat returned to Oak Ridge, then transferred to Odyssey Middle School, where she taught 8th grade. She retired again three years ago. Pat is survived by : Marion Lockaby; mother, Bill Lockaby; brother, Todd Lockaby; nephew, Alexis Lockaby; niece. A celebration of life will take place at 6PM Thursday, May 5 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando.
