Patricia Sanborn, currently of Orlando, passed away Tuesday, October 30 at age 87. Patricia moved to Florida in 1979 with her husband, Carl and youngest daughter Melissa (Misty). She was a native of Chicago's Northside Rogers Park area. There she grew up with her sisters, Julia O'Brien, Rosemary O'Brien (Marion Sanborn), and Genieve O'Brien; and her brother William O'Brien (Dorothy). She met and married Carl B. Sanborn, also of Chicago shortly after World War II. They spent 40 years together before his passing. Their marriage was blessed by three daughters, Carla (Wendel Melton) of Oviedo, Julie and Misty both of Orlando; and three granddaughters, Wendi, Mandi and Nikki Melton. Patricia played a key role in the lives of her family and was deeply loved by all by who knew her. She was always full of life and spirit. She will be remembered for many things but especially for her kind heart and loving smile. She is survived by her daughters, granddaughter and son-in-law (Wendel), in addition to eight nephews, seven nieces, twenty great nieces and nephews and five great great nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, November 2, 2007 in Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 5900 Oleander Drive, Orlando. Arrangements by Newcomer Family Funeral Home, Orlando, 407-277-4227
