Cress, Jr. Patrick SFC US Army (Ret.), 78 of Orlando, passed away on February 2, 2007. He was born in Appalachia, VA. and moved to Orlando in 1970. He served in the US Army and was a prisoner of war for 37 months in Korea. He also did a tour of duty in Vietnam. Patrick was a member of Evangel Assembly of God; Masonic Lodge #207, and a Tiger survivor. He is survived by his loving family; wife Velta; three daughters, Patricia Cress, Cheryl Wheeler and Destiny Cress; four grandchildren, Ginger Robertson, Shane Canada, Cassie Ferguson, Courtney Wheeler; eleven great-grandchildren Chris and TJ Weston, Joshua Robertson, Jacob Trenton, Mykayla Canada, Taylor, Trisha, Haileigh and Amberley Ferguson; son/grandson in laws, Patrick Wheeler, Donald Ferguson; two sisters Evelyn Barnes of Fisher, IN., Shirley Harvey of Johnson City, TN; two brothers, Jack and Bobby Bishop of Johnson City, TN., and many other loving family members and friends. Visitation will be held on Monday February 5, 2007 from 5PM-7PM with funeral services beginning at 7PM at Newcomer Family Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, East Orlando.
