Paul A. Shaller, Sr - Loving Father and Grandfather
Paul A. Shaller, Sr., of Orlando, FL (formerly of Dalton, NY) passed away with his loving family at his side on January 19, 2011 after a long illness.
Born March 10, 1930 in Olean, NY, he was the son of Arthur & Ellen (Wagoner) Shaller. Paul attended Belfast Central School and helped out on the family farm before enlisting in the Army in 1951-1954 during the Korean War.
After being discharged from the Army, Paul was employed by Dr. M.H. Mabey Farm of Cuba, NY for many years. He was also employed by Edgar Ploetz Farms of West Valley, NY and a long haul truck driver for Clancy Carting of Rochester, NY.
Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors.
Surviving are daughter Kathy (Jack) Burnett of Marathon, FL; two sons, Paul Jr. "P.J." (Kelly) of Cuba, NY and David (Jeannie) of Orlando, FL; 5 granddaughters, Quinn, Randi, Jacquie, Karlee and Jordan; 3 great-grandsons, Skylar, Kyle, and Joe. Serveral nieces and nephews and extended family, Stella, Valerie and Samantha and long time friend Ron Chapman.
He was preceded in death by long time companion, Jeannie Sanza and sisters, Marianne Barnes and Donna Sculli.
A family viewing was held on January 21 in Orlando at Newcomer Funeral Home and a Memorial Service will be held this summer in Cuba, NY.
