Paul E. Tedrow

November 9, 1917 — October 7, 2012

Paul Emmett Tedrow was born on November 9, 1917 in Fairmont, West Virginia. In 1938, he married Betty Lee Wiblin with whom he created his first family. Paul and Betty had 3 daughters, Sharon Latham, husband Ed Latham of Ocala, Paula Tedrow, partner Dee Sauvageau of Winter Park and Deborah Tedrow Miller, husband Bob Miller of Gainesville. Paul was preceded in death by Betty and his eldest daughter, Sharon. From his first family he is also survived by 6 grandchildren including John Latham, Lorie Latham, Kim Cooper, Kris Keyzer-Andre, Rob Miller and Casey Miller. He has 5 great grandchildren Lauren, Nick and Zack Latham and Emily and Michael Cooper.

He was blessed to create a second family with Theresa Schwoerer Tedrow. He is survived by Theresa to whom he was married 24 years. He has 5 surviving stepchildren: Elizabeth Godwin, husband Jim of Orlando; Catherine Schwoerer, Lawrence, KS; Edward Schwoerer, wife Diana of Panama City; Theresa Seiler, husband Bill of Houston, TX; Melinda Green, husband Kevin of Sherrill's Ford, NC; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was a lover of shelties and his little sheltie, Misty, will miss his presence.

He felt and expressed immense gratitude in his final days for Theresa's attentive and loving care for him in their married life together and during his illness in preparation for death. During their years together, they enjoyed many travels around the world including 3 trips to Alaska.

Paul worked 53 years for McCrory's, beginning in his teen years until his retirement and for a few years after retirement on special assignments. He was a very devoted, respected and hard-working employee whom was appreciated for his contributions to the company. As a store manager, he was reassigned to many locations where his skills were needed most including various cities in West Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. His last 2 locations were Colonial Plaza and Fashion Square Mall in Orlando, FL.

Paul was a modest and reserved man who possessed many of the qualities and values of his generation—hard-working, commitment, honesty and dependability. His greatest pastime and passion was watching team sports. He was especially a Florida Gator and Atlanta Braves fan.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Hospice of the Comforter.
