Paul Edward was born on June 22, 1933 to parents Christopher and Louise Mahoney at Boston Massachusetts. Paul was the youngest of 3 children; Christopher and Marie.
He attended Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire and graduated in 1956 with a degree in Philosophy. Enlisted with the Army in 1957 and served as Administrator for the 101St Airborne Division for 6 yrs at Fort Campbell Kentucky. He is the recipient of the Certificate of Recognition from the US Secretary of Defense for his service during the period of the Cold War.
After his tour of duty with the Army, he returned to Boston Massachusetts and worked for the Boston Public School system as an English Teacher for elementary grades levels.
He fell in love with Gemma Fulleros through a series of lengthily correspondences and they finally were married on February 23rd 1989. Philip John was born on October 9, 1990 at Boston Massachusetts.
In 1996, Paul retired from Boston Public school and the Mahoney Family moved to Florida and finally relocated to Orlando in 1998.
During his retirement, Paul enjoyed his favorite hobbies; gardening, reading, sports, and vacationing with family and friends. He was also a proud member and volunteer of the OCSO Citizen's on Patrol, Bayanihan at Wedgefield, and the American Legion Posts in Massachusetts and Christmas.
Memorial Service will be on Monday January 17th from 5pm-9pm at Newcomers Funeral Home which is located on 895 South Goldenrod Road Orlando, FL 32822.
Funeral Mass Service will be on Tuesday January 18th at 10am and will be held at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church which is located at 1501 North Alafaya Trail Orlando, FL 32828.
The final interment will follow the funeral service at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. The address is 6502 SW 102nd Avenue Bushnell, FL 33513.
