1961 - 2024
Paul Troha passed away peacefully on February 25, 2024 after years of struggle with health issues and a valiant effort against a recently diagnosed bout with cancer. He was 62 years of age.
Paul was born to the late Elizabeth (Betty) and Matthew (Red) Troha Jr. on August 28, 1961 in Pittsburgh PA. He is survived by his siblings, Elizabeth (Rich) Grantz, Margaret, and Matthew III, as well as by cousins, nieces and nephews all who mourn while being grateful for him having been a part of our family.
Paul also leaves behind friends across the many places he would call home. He had a lifelong friend in Maureen Mihm with whom he grew up and remained close to throughout his life and he never stopped adding friends even when he had to cut back activities due to disablility. His open heart led him to adopt older dogs who were thought unadoptable and gave them a loving home in their last days.
His creativity led him to produce art works under the name of Kast of Karacters, and when he was unable to continue that, he enthusiastically joined Smule, a karaoke website where he became a VIP member, messaging with online friends, singing solo and participating in a number of ensembles.
A private burial will be scheduled in Pittsburgh at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to Animal Rescue Fund Inc., 1140 East Altamonte Springs, FL 32701 or a memorial of your choice.
