Pedro Ortiz, 89 of Orlando, Florida passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014.
He was born on January 13, 1925 in Aibonito, Puerto Rico. Pedro was a retired chef from the Union League Club in New York City and was a member of St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church in Orlando. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean War. Pedro was also a musician and played in a band in the 1950's and has always had a love and appreciation for music. He also loved baseball and was an avid fan.
Pedro was preceded in death by his wife, Carmen Ortiz in 2013 and is survived by his children, Madeline Malave, Iris Cruz, Pedro Luis Ortiz and Maria E. Ortiz; daughter-in-law, Maritza Ortiz; brother, Jose Ortiz; 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
