Pedro Rosado — husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, and handy man of all trades, was a contractor, electrician, engineer, mechanic, and true Yankee's fan — who passed on to his glory, peacefully, surrounded by family, on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at his home in Casselberry, Florida due to liver failure and other sudden health complications. He was 63 years young.
His birthday was one week away, he would have been 64 on Sunday, December 7th, 2014.
Pedro is survived by his wife, Serafina, his children: Migdalia Rosado Warren, Ivette Rosado, Pete Rosado, Nancy Arroyo Perez, Ralph Arroyo, Herbert Arroyo, and his grandchildren: Matthew, Kiara, Darien, Elliot, Melanie, Joshua, Justin, Meagan, Melissa, Sarah, Christian, Ralphiel, Trinity, Ariana, Jeremiah, Jahaira, Jennifer, Ashley, Belinda, Hayley, Onyx, Gadiel, and his great grandchildren: Leon, Jeremiah, Mariah, Layla, Kamren, Chloe, Charlize and future granddaughter, Isabella.
Pedro was born in Puerto Rico but left to New York at the age of 5. He was proud to serve our country in the Army. He then became an engineer, contractor and father to 3 children. Years later, after spending some time going through hardships, addictions and life's challenges, he met Serafina, they married, bought a home in Brooklyn, and he became step father to her 4 children. Over the last 25 years of their marriage, Pedro became "Papa" (grandpa) to all of their 35 combined children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The children were all raised in their grandfather's loving touch. He made them laugh, he made them think, (his granddaughter Kiara wishes we could save his brain, "he was so full of knowledge" she said, on the day he passed),
He made all the children love him because, LOVE, was the most important thing, regardless of blood or direct family ties. They will deeply miss him but they understand that his time with them ("my second chance at life") was a blessing, not only to him, but to all of us as well.
Pedro's greatest accomplishment was being a grandfather, a husband and a dad.
He loved the New York Yankees, playing dominoes, renovating homes, fixing cars, talking sports, listening to Spanish music, making jokes, teasing relatives and having lively debates.
Pedro will be remembered for his wit, intelligence, outgoing personality, his generosity, as well as his love of having the best-decorations at home during the Christmas season. He loved showmanship, sports, competition and his truck, but he loved his family most of all.
A viewing is scheduled for Wednesday, November 3, 2014 from 5pm-9pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 335 East State Road 434, Longwood, Fl 32750 with a memorial service to follow on Thursday, November 4, 2014 at 11am at Ascension Lutheran Church, located at 351 Ascension Drive, Casselberry, Fl with a lunch reception to follow.
