Margaret Louise Hunt…Peggy, Weezie, Aunt Peggy, Piglet, Peggy Sue…no matter what you called her or how you knew her, she left an impression on your life that would be there forever. She loved life, loved her family, loved her friends, loved her animals…loved her Lord. Peggy put her whole heart into everything she did…into every relationship she had.
From a very young age, she learned to love music. Peggy loved all kinds of music from modern, to rock, to country, to folk, to hymns. She had an amazing ear and singing voice and enjoyed learning how to play the guitar. She was a part of various singing groups, but her favorite was singing with the choir at Redlands Community Church. Even after moving to Central Florida, she continued to drive down south to participate in the various music concerts that were performed each year.
Peggy was a true artist. Whether it was drawn, painted or photographed, she had a keen eye and a mighty hand. Her passion for creating brought her great pleasure, which was reflected in everything she did. Her imagination and talent allowed her to produce wonderful pieces for her to share, display and sell at arts shows.
Her photography captured so many beautiful moments in our lives. She loved taking pictures of birds, butterflies and other wildlife and outdoor scenery, which she would sometimes turn into beautiful paintings.
For family functions you never saw Peggy without her camera. Things we did together as a family each year were forever immortalized in her wonderful Christmas calendars.
Peggy gave her heart away to a very special four-legged lady, whom she named Hannah. They discovered each other in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew. It was love at first sight. They seemed to fill a part of each other's heart that was tender and special and lasted for years.
Peggy loved her orchids. She always seemed to have something beautifully in bloom that adorned her front porch perfectly. It made the ideal environment for feeding her little critters and birds in the early morning each day. It was a peaceful place…void of spiders…which Peggy would have checked with her always handy, keychain flashlight!!
Peggy also loved to travel. She has been to Ireland and Alaska to name a couple of her favorite spots. Peggy was fond of saying that, "variety is the spice of life", so she welcomed the many vacation opportunities that came her way.
People who know Peggy talk about her kindred spirit, her positive attitude, her kind soul and beautiful heart. Peggy loved fiercely and her loyalty to family and friends knew no boundaries. She brought joy to everyone she encountered. To say that Peggy was an Angel on earth…well…as the saying goes…if the shoe fits, wear it, and she wore it well. God created a very special child when He came up with Peggy. She is deeply loved by many. She will be forever missed.
In celebration of her life, we ask that you wear something in her favorite color…orange…Shirt, blouse, scarf…anything in orange.
