August 15, 1921 — June 26, 2017
Peter Valentine Gentile, 95, departed this life peacefully on Monday, June 26, 2017 in Orlando, FL. He was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, and shortly after graduating high school, he enlisted as a Merchant Marine and honorably served during the "Battle of the Atlantic".
He married the love of his life, Carolyn E. Gontowski on May 23, 1942 and together they raised three children. He furthered his studies at Temple University and later led a successful career as a Mechanical Engineer.
Peter will be remembered as a wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn; children, Madalyn (Alan), Bob (Linda), Karl Gentile and grandson, Alex.
Peters' family will honor and celebrate his life privately.
