Phillip Martin, Sr.

March 6, 1947 — April 8, 2015

Phillip G. Martin Sr., 68 of Roselle, New Jersey passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2015.

He was born on March 6, 1947 in Port Antonio, Jamaica to James and Eldoris (Murray) Martin who have both preceded him in death. Phillip was a graduate of Mico Teachers Training College in Kingston, Jamaica. He then came to the United States and furthered his education at Long Island University and Columbia University. He retired as an Account Executive at Steven L. Geller, Inc. Advertising Agency in Greenwich, Connecticut. Phillip was an avid reader and was a sports fan, especially tennis and golf. When he was younger, he played cricket and soccer. He was also a gourmet cook and enjoyed entertaining. He was a huge fan of the New York Knicks NBA basketball team and the New York Jets NFL football team.

He is survived by his loving wife, Casilda Martin; daughter, Patrice N. Martin-Beneby; son, Phillip G. Martin, Jr. and grandchildren, Brianna, Mya, Devin (D.J.), Ayden and Jace.
