Phyllis Lee (Meador) Maynard
08/14/1949- 12/9/2020
Phyllis Maynard had her homecoming with the Lord on 12/9/20 after a yearlong fight with illnesses and never fully recovering after contracting Covid-19 in August 2020. She was surrounded in love at the Mike Conely Hospice House (Cornerstone Hospice) where she passed. Phyllis was proceeded in death by her parents Aubrey "Bill" and Nadine Meador, sibling Michael Meador, husband Billy Lynn Hill (1974), and husband Robert Arvin Maynard (2003).
Phyllis is survived by her three children Michelle Lee Cornelius of Orlando, Fl , Stephen Lynn Hill (Julie Stehle) of Orlando, Fl, and Alicia Hill Mayner (Stephen Mayner) of Huntingtown, MD. Phyllis was a beaming Nana to nine grandchildren (Brandon, Kayla, Brittany, Lane, Cory, Rylee, Kaitlyn, Sarah, and Rebekah) and four great grandchildren (Elijah, Noah, Lukas, and Aiden). Phyllis is also survived by her two Sisters Twyla Sabine and Carolyn VanWinkle who will greatly miss their "Baby Sister".
Phyllis was engulfed with her love for God, church, family, and friends. She thoroughly enjoyed sharing stories on the phone with longtime friends and "catching up" at her morning breakfast with her "McDonald's crew". She was blessed with her talent in music through singing and her tremendous gift of playing the piano. Her talents were admired by all. She was active, not only, in church through music but served many times as a Church Secretary, Ladies Auxiliary leader, Sunday School teacher, and BTC teacher. Phyllis will be missed by many and remembered forever. Forever in our hearts "Mommy and Nana".
