Rachel Violet Padgett

Rachel Violet Barie Padgett, 64 went to be with God and family on August 20, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Paul Barie and Norma Lee Dunford Barie. She was also preceded in death by daughter, Shelia Marie Hopper; brother, Paul (Barie) Riley, and sister-in-law Barbara. Rachel is survived by husband, Richard Allen Padgett of Orlando; sister Bonnie Griffith of Trenton, FL; sister, Dessie (Ann) Mills of Orlando, FL; son Paul David Padgett,daughter, Norma Elizabeth Padgett both of Orlando. She also leaves behind grandsons, Christopher Padgett, Nathan Padgett, Tyler Padgett, Brandon Padgett, all of Orlando; one granddaughter Victoria Padgett of Orlando; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Our beautiful Rachel moved to Florida form West Virginia in 1959 with her parents. She was a clown, avid cake decorator, and canvas stitcher. She loved kids and ran a day care from her home. She was an amazing woman, free spirited and full of life. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held from 5PM-9PM, Tuesday, August 26 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Orlando. Graveside services will be held at 10AM Wednesday, August 27 at Chapel Hill Cemetery, Orlando.
