Rafael Caonabo Martinez

Rafael Caonabo Martinez- Age 76, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022. He was born in La Vega, Dominican Republic to his parents Rafael and Gisela Ramos Fernandez .

Rafael very much liked rainy days. For some reason, he loved even strong storms. That made him very happy. Baseball was his favorite sport. He was a very big fan of the New York Yankees and the Dominican Major League team "Las Aguilas Cibaenas", the team of his home country, El Cibao.

He also loved cooking a lot. Gastronomy was one of his passions as well, inspiring his son Luis on the way to where he is now making his living today... in a professional kitchen.

Overall Rafael was a family oriented man. He loved his 2 kids very much, and the love of his life was his mom, Gisela Ramos (Tata). He was hard working, always trying to help others without expecting anything in exchange. He was very Catholic oriented, believed in God and that Jesus was His Son and died for all of our sins on the cross.

Before he passed Rafael accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior.

He is survived by his son, Luis Caonabo Martinez; daughter, Yelida Anacaona Martinez; sisters, Rafalina Dowd, Grisel Martiez, Lexy Fernandez, Rafaelina Martinez, brother, Rafeal Restituyo and grandchildren, Charlene Martinez, Alan Giraldi, Camille Martinez, Jeandel Reyes, Alejandra, Cameron Martinez, and Gisela Auroa Martinez. He is preceded in death by his father, Rafael Martinez and his mother, Gisela Ramos Fernandez.

From his son... To the best father I've ever known. R.I.P... Until we meet again,
