Ramsarup (Max) Rampersad

It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of Ramsarup Rampersad (Max), age 76, of Florida on March 13th, 2025.  Ramsarup was born on June 16th, 1948, in Felicity, Chaguanas, Trinidad & Tobago.

He was the son of the late Harrinarine and Basdai Rampersad. The brother of Bata, the late Dolly, Beena, Sugan, and Choonkie. Max was the loving husband of Samrati Rampersad and father of Monto (Monty), Sita, Nupiya (Baby) Hema and Robby. Father-in -law of Rajesh, Shelly, Anand, Maria and the late Richie. The grandfather of Nadia, Michelle, Nicholas, Brandon, Stephanie, Rich, Ariel, Kaylee, Liam, Cataleya, the late Rishi, and baby Krystal. He was the loving great-grandfather of Amisha and Malini.

He gained popularity as a well-known taxi driver in and around Felicity, making friends everywhere he went. Before migrating to the United States, he worked at Solo Beverages as a truck driver. With the ever-present supporter mindset, he found work immediately in New York at JFK Airport before moving to Schenectady New York where he worked until he retired. With his wife, son, Monto, daughter-in-law, Shelly and grandson Brandon, he moved to Florida where he lived out the rest of his blessed life.
