Raymond Aloysious Bawal, Sr.

Raymond Aloysious Bawal Sr. passed away October 14, 2024.

He was born February 9, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan to parents Joseph and Irene Bawal. He attended high school in Walled Lake, Michigan, graduating in 1958. 

In 1966, Raymond enlisted into the U.S. Military. He proudly served 13 years in the Army. After serving in the Army, he worked in management at Zenith Automotive Industry until retiring in 2002.

Raymond married Joanne Lisee on September 15, 1962. They have three children together, and resided in Michigan until moving to Orlando, Florida in 2002.

He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He was always a hard worker, and he always took good care of his family. He loved spending time with his family. He liked to play bingo. He enjoyed watching wrestling, football, hockey, and baseball with his grandson Sean. He also liked to watch cowboy movies, especially those that starred John Wayne. He loved animals, his favorites were dogs and horses.

Raymond is survived by his daughter, Anne Cope; his son, Raymond (Connie) Bawal Jr.; grandsons, Sean Cope, Raymond Bawal III ; great-grandson, Jaxson Bawal; his sisters-in-law, Janet Weikel, Margaret Ann DuChene; his niece, Debbie (Brian) Seidel; many great- nieces and great- nephews; and his little dog Violet.

Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne Bawal; son, William Bawal; his parents, Joseph and Irene Bawal; brothers, Edwin, Robert; sisters, Barbara, Etty, Shirley; mother-in-law and father-in-law, William and Hazel Lisee; brothers-in-law, Harry Lisee, Charles DuChene, Richard Weikel, and nephew Stephen DuChene.

Raymond will be greatly missed and will forever be in our hearts. 

A private service will be held by the family at a later date.
