Rebecca (Becky) Kitchens Bolan, age 61, of Orlando, FL passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021 at VITAS Hospice in Winter Garden, FL.
She was a loving friend, a dedicated mother and a devoted wife. She always wore a smile that brightened room. Becky brought warmth, dedication, wit and humor to every situation and to everyone she encountered. She loved UCF Basketball and good chardonnay, supporting her son in all his schooling and activities and spending time with friends and family.
Becky was born on December 23, 1959 in Mt. Holly, NJ, the daughter of the late Lee and Martha (Morris) Kitchens. On November 2, 1996, she married her devoted husband, Christopher Bolan.
She graduated from Cinnaminson High School and earned a BS in Civil Engineering from Bucknell University, where was active in Marching Band and the Delta Gamma Sorority. Becky was a certified Professional Engineer. Becky was Sr. Vice President of Montgomery Consulting Group, with over 30 years' experience managing projects for Florida's Turnpike. During that time, she won many awards including, most recently, the Bob Coster Visionary Award for Lifetime Achievement. A consummate professional, as well as a caring and compassionate co-worker, she brought her considerable skill, experience and poise to every situation, working on many of the most complex and controversial projects included the Turnpike/I-595 interchange, I-75 Relief, Coastal Connector and the Turnpike widening from SR 408 to SR 50.
Outside of work Becky was an active member and Deacon at First Presbyterian Church of Orlando, an enthusiastic member of Arete, Executive Women of Influence, an award-winning participant in Toastmasters and a mentor for young people at Tildenville Elementary School.
Becky is survived by her husband of 25 years, Christopher Bolan of Orlando; their son, Daniel Bolan of Orlando; a sister, Barbara Necarsulmer and her husband, Rob, of Kennett Square, PA; her stepmother, Jean Kitchens of Orlando, nieces Lindsay Necarsulmer of Los Angeles, CA, Julie Necarsulmer of Chapel Hill, NC, nephew Tim Necarsulmer and wife Abigail of Anchorage, AK.
Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the King Parlor at First Presbyterian Church, 106 E Church St, Orlando, FL.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 2 at 11:00 am at First Presbyterian Church, 106 E Church St, Orlando, FL 32801 with the Reverend Tanner Fox, officiating.
Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park, 2300 Temple Dr, Winter Park, FL 32789

Parking downtown can be tricky, so the church partners with the county and shares a parking garage across the street on the corner of Jackson Street and Rosalind Avenue. During the week, the Church can validate your garage parking pass for meetings and events. The garage is just across the street from the church, and the garage entrance is on Liberty Avenue.
