Rebecca Fondessy
Rebecca Fondessy passed away Tuesday, January 11th, 2022 after battling a long illness. Her husband, Rollie, was at her side as she left this life to be with God and begin her eternal life everlasting.
Rebecca was born on September 12th, 1965 to Constance (Connie) and Donald Hoffmann. She graduated from Start High School and attended the University of Toledo. She worked in television in the Toledo market for several years before moving to Florida with her husband and newborn son Joseph in December 2000.
While in Florida Rebecca concentrated on being the best mom she could be and also found time to work as a commercial voiceover artist, actress, and teacher. Later in life, she discovered yet another talent and passion…painting.
This past Christmas week the Hoffmann family had a reunion in Ft. Meyers, Fl where Rebecca was able to spend a great deal of time with her immediate family as well as her father-in-law, Roland Fondessy of Naples, Fl.
Rebecca is survived by Rollie, her loving husband and friend of over 37 years, son Joseph (J.R.), mother Connie, brothers William and Joe Hoffmann, nieces Natalie, Kaitlin and Becky, nephews Ian and Will Hoffmann and cousins Mark (Nicki) and Shelly McGarvey, Kevin (Tanya) and Matt (Melissa Gunner) Wagenhauser. Also surviving Rebecca are her grandsons William, Barrett and Camden Sherman of Wauseon, Oh.
She was preceded in death by her father Donald, her brother Don, her uncle Denny McGarvey, her grandparents, and her mother-in-law, Sue Fondessy.
Respecting Rebecca's wishes and due to COVID there will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date. Anyone wishing to honor her life may do so by donating to the National Adoption Foundation (or local adoption agency) or your local animal rescue shelter.
