In Loving Memory of
Rebekkah Joy Rosado
August 30, 1987 - January 11, 2021
Rebekkah Joy Rosado of Orlando, FL passed away on January 11, 2021, after a long battle with Nodular Sclerosis Hodgkin's Lymphoma and graft-versus-host disease at the age of 33.
She was born on August 30, 1987, in Flint, Michigan to dedicated, caring parents, and was the oldest of seven siblings. She graduated from Full Sail University in Orlando with a Bachelor's degree in Music Business in 2009.
Rebekkah met Frankie Rosado, a musician and hairstylist, at a local coffee shop's open mic event in 2008. They were married on April 22, 2012, and filled the next 8 and a half years with fun, adventure, and love.
In addition to being a devoted wife, daughter, sister, and friend, Rebekkah was also an extraordinary entrepreneur. Her well-respected work in the event industry made her a pillar of the Orlando small business community. She built her companies Runway Events, Rebekkah Rose Events, Runway Botanical, The Runway Collection, and the Plan Your Wedding Like Boss video courses from the ground-up and took pride in both the work and the team she gathered around her. She was beloved by clients and colleagues alike.
She also had a passion for music. As a solo artist, worship leader, and frontwoman for the band One31, Rebekkah used her beautiful voice and powerful songwriting to bring glory to God and entertain crowds all over.
After the passing of her youngest brother, Jared, she created Jared's Luau; an annual charity event to benefit The Ronald McDonald House. Since its inception in 2017, Jared's Luau has raised thousands of dollars to benefit RMH, an organization that meant so much to her and her family.
She is survived by her loving husband Frankie Rosado; her parents, Michael and Tina Serra; her five siblings, Jesakkah Serrano (Al), Juliah Czarniak (Anthony), Preston Serra, Viktoriah Serra (Justin), and Michael Serra; her grandparents, Pearl Gagnon and Veronica and Joseph Serra; and two nephews (AJ and Noah).
She is preceded in death by her youngest brother, Jared Serra, and grandfather James Gagnon. We know they are reunited and watching over all of us.
She has left an enormous hole in the hearts of those who knew her and we look forward to the day when we meet again in Heaven.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida in memory of Rebekkah Joy Rosado.
